Shoot with me
Looking for a partner for photo trips. Not about money — wildlife is just better as a duo.
Wildlife is essentially a solo sport. But it never hurts to have someone to share a coffee with in a car at half past four in the morning, someone you can complain to about the lens you left at home again. I’m looking for people who’d come along on trips. If you’re up for it, get in touch.
Where we could go
Šumava and Czech forests. Sunrises in the fog, rutting deer, owls, roe deer in dewy meadows. Takes a plan and an early alarm, but the results are worth it.
Game parks. Holedná near Brno, Židlochovice, Kladrubská. Fallow deer, mouflon, red deer. Easier than the wild but still real terrain. Ideal start for someone just getting into wildlife.
Zoos. Prague, Brno, Schönbrunn in Vienna, Berlin. Predictable conditions, shooting through glass and bars has its tricks.
Something off the list? If you have your eye on a specific place or species, say the word. Always happy to try something new.
How it works
It’s not a course. We head out together, talk, take some pictures. If you want to ask about settings, gear, or post-processing, ask. If you’d rather stay quiet and shoot, go ahead.

- by the weather, your time and mine. Sunrise beats sleep.
- Where
- anywhere we can reach easily from Brno, but really anywhere. Poland, Slovakia, why not.
- Cost
- free. You cover your own zoo entry, fuel, lunch, and the like.
- What you need
- the will, a camera with at least a 200mm lens, and warm clothes for the weather.
